Creative Process:
I started printing just four years ago, through an introductory etching class at Pratt and just fell hard for the medium. This year, I was honored to receive the Seattle Print Arts Scholarship at Pratt to help fund my continued study and development in the medium. I consider myself an urban naturalist and most of my subjects are plants and animals I have encountered in my daily wanderings around Seattle and its surrounding natural areas. I think starlings and raccoons are just as worthy of representation as any exotic creature or famous noble.
