Whimsical Sea Creatures
Creative Process:
At first I select the medium either wood panel, canvas, a vintage map or white card stock. Once the back ground is finished I draw a specific character, sometimes I used gesso to block part of the back ground, sometimes I used stencils. I trace half circles using plastic cups then I painted with 3 tones of blue acrylics. The main character, requires a lot of detail I used watercolor pencil and sharpies. I add textures by applying various stencils: sun & moon. Last the panels are coated with varnish to protect them from sun exposure and dust.
