Josh Nihem and Sue Roth

Saturday, January 18th, 2014

Josh_Nihem_1We were extra thrilled to hear that some of the crew at the T117 project wanted to get involved too. We love being surprised by hidden talent.

Josh Nihem is a Surveyor and Inspector for the Port of Seattle. In his free time he builds long boards and creates his own designs for them, often with fish themes. He has also been collecting vintage skateboards that are on view.

Port employee Sue Roth has an amazing talent for watercolor.

Be sure to check out her work.

Emily Squire

Saturday, January 18th, 2014

We are thrilled to be featuring the work of Emily Squire, a very talented young artist. Stop by the T117 Project Office and view her work through February.

Emily Squire“I am Emily Squire. I am 25 years old, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts of Art Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I live and work out of Renton, WA currently.

I work with many mediums; my current favorite is watercolor and dye. My style has a broad range especially since I use many mediums. Each medium lends its own strengths and weaknesses to one another.

Other mediums I work with are: Oil, Acrylic, Pen and Ink, Scratch board, Pastels (oil & soft), charcoal, colored pencils, jewelry making, wire wrapping, and three dimensional art such as The Cube.”
