South Park Arts Announces 9th Annual Art Under $100 Holiday Sale

Monday, November 11th, 2013

Contact: Wendy Woldenberg

(206) 898-8778

The 9th Annual Art Under $100 sale is December 7, in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood with more artists than ever before.

When:    Saturday, December 7 from 2:00pm-9:00pm

Where:  South Park Community Center8319 8th Ave. S, Seattle, 98108

Price:      Free Entry

Artists from South Park and beyond will knock your stockings off with original work not seen at a typical holiday sale. This year, we’ve packed in even more talent. Over 50 artists will showcase a diverse array of art, including painting, sculpture, neon, jewelry, clothing, photography, glass, letterpress and more.  And everything’s affordable with nothing priced over $100.

Beloved elements of past sales return: Groove to DJ dpauly and DJ Stack as they spin records from their booth high above us in the scissor lift.  Create your very own masterpiece with the Makery, a mobile art lab that runs on recycled materials and creativity.  Sip wine, enjoy beer, feast on yummy appetizers. And support local art–every 20 minutes, lucky winners get their pick of art donated by participating artists. All proceeds go to South Park Arts.

What’s new this year? Substantial fare from two food trucks: Muy Macho and 314 Pie. Plus Slate Coffee Roasters will keep you going as you discover treasure after unique treasure.

It’s true. It’s possible to actually enjoy holiday shopping.  For proof of all the fun, click on the photo below for an amazing 5-minute time lapse video of last year, courtesy of our friend Jenna Pool. Don’t miss the party of the season!
