Rebecca Aldrich

I have always been inspired by the intimacy of small things and I have found that jewelry making is an excellent medium to share with others the pleasure in holding and wearing and touching a precious object. Officially an artist since age three, I have worked in many different media but discovered an interest in metalworking in high school at the late Summit K-12 in north Seattle. In The Evergreen State College s Working Small program that interest became a full blown love affair and I have been working out of my home studio experimenting with different metals, non-traditional jewelry materials, and found objects ever since. As well as working with friends and fans to create commissioned pieces, my work has been featured at Souvenir in Ballard, Goldbug in Pasadena California, and the Re-Store’s Haute Trash art and fashion show. I not only love the artistic process but I also feel rewarded and enriched by the relationships I have formed with many different people because of art.
