Lawndaisies

Established in 2010, by Katy Ellis, a native of Renton, Washington, and Janine Lange, originally from Paramus, New Jersey, lawn daisies offers hand-embellished, upcycled sweaters for girls and women. The idea for lawn daisies came about during the ample, chilly ‘park time’ the two moms spent together while their daughters played. They wanted to breathe new life into the old sweaters their girls clung to out of sheer love and nostalgia, so they set about combining fun yarns, vintage buttons and their love of knitting and crocheting. The results are sweet, cozy and totally unique sweaters for young and not-so-young alike!

Janine Lange began taking a pottery class in 2007 and she has continually worked with clay in her home on and off ever since.  She loves the challenge of creating unique objects that are as playful, bright and fun as they are beautiful to look at and to cherish for years to come. A signature detail to look for in many of Janine’s pieces might be the careful placement of Alki beach glass amidst the colorful array of stunning glazes she uses such as ultramarine, lemon lime or seaweed green. All pbj (Pottery by Janine) is handmade from porcelain and food safe glazes.
