Jodee Adams-Moore
Jodee lives on the north fork of the Stillaguamish River, at Smoke Farm, in Northwest Washington. She plays alongside her partner Teggart, Pablo the dog and La Llorona the cat whenever she gets a chance, which is quite often ever since she figured out how to make more time for art in her life. Jodee learned basic ceramic skills at Seward Park Clay Studio and continues to grow with her mentor, Persis Gayle, a longtime potter in the neighborhood. Most of the work seen is high fired stoneware cooked at Persis’ place up the road in her big gas kiln.
When her hands aren’t moving the clay she likes to trail run, mushroom hunt, drink wine, cook and sometimes go to work at the Skagit Valley Food Co-Op.
